The Concert Choir is proud to have provided fine choral music to the community for more than 50 years. In 1959, a group of local singers came together under the leadership of Warren Geissinger. The group’s first concert, performed on June 5, 1960 at the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, consisted of Bach’s Contata No. 192 and Fauré’s Requiem.
We most recently presented Pulling Out All the Stops! Music for Choir and Organ on December 5th and 6th, 2009 concerts at the Congregational Church of Putnam.
Before you know it, our Spring ’10 concert will be upon us!
Our concerts are made possible partly through a grant from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism, (http://www.ct.gov/cct/site/), and we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge their critical support.
